Is getting a bit out of hand.

Kinja'd!!!

Look at it! It’s so well designed and quirky!

Kinja'd!!!

Skirted wheels, because Citroen.

Kinja'd!!!

Taillights terminate the body lines.

Kinja'd!!!

No frills interior, except the single spoke steering wheel.

I prefer the Ami 6... it looks even more fucked up.

Kinja'd!!!

I might get one to ship to Japan next time I get back to France... They are getting a bit expensive though, even in France. Ami 8 are much cheaper.

I do love a good reverse-raked window.

It makes it look very cartoony.

The Anglia looks better IMO, but the Ami 6 is still cool.

You should take over a Vespa 400, I feel that’s a car the Japanese would love.

I prefer the GS.

Kinja'd!!!

maybe even an early Renault 5

Kinja'd!!!

People don’t give the 5 enough credit for being one of the cleanest designs of all time.

Nor the GS. Look at it; it’s an amazing design, especially when you consiser this was Citroen’s “Camry” in the 1970's. It’s also amazingly well engineered for a car that was meant to compete with the Ford Granada, VW Passat (Dasher), Renault 12, and Fiat 131. Those are all good cars in their own right, but the GS is in another league.

The 5 is a really nice design, even in its plastic clad later years. The GS isn’t my favorite Citroen design, but it’s cool nonetheless.

Come, friend! Join us all in drinking the Kool Aid of bizarre design and insane engineering! Nothing is half assed, yet everything is half assed! Somehow infuriatingly underpowered, yet often just enough power! The Magical Citroen Tour wants to take you away! Do not be afraid; if you grease your kingpins regurlarly, it will all work out fine.

Unfortunately, they are expensive in Europe too and would not sell that well in Japan. My friend tried already a few years ago and it wasn’t successful. I need cars I can sell easily.

For some reason reading this made Karn Evil 9 by EL&P start playing in my head. Now I have a headache.

Do they like R4s?

I would take some trabants over.

This was so, so, well written.

It’s everything I’ve dreamed owning a Citroen would be.

Thank you.

A friend reminds me that a certain police department in Washington State had two of these (“LeCars” in the U.S.).

C4 Cacti already do all of those things, this began a while ago. Also, the SM may be too amazing, it’s just gorgeous.

If you think the SM’s gorgeous, look at the Mk1 Alpine A310. It’s like an Alpine take on the SM.

You can see the original car was an earlier year, Le Cars had round headlights until 1980, when they switched to rectangular lights.

I know, Alpine in general just makes beautiful cars.
